Mommy is... more than a title, she's the whole story.
I am Titilayo M Mitchell, the mommy, a term my husband has keyed and so lovingly calls me, and also the founder of Mommy is... a community and mommy hood, a co-mom-nity. Just like everyone's journey as a mom is unique, so is Mommy is.... With love, growth, and balance (as a Libra and mommy), that is what I aim to bring and provide as we R.E.A.D. amongst one another.
The Reason
I unexpectedly and happily discovered I was pregnant on Halloween in 2013. I sooner rather than later gave birth in March of 2014 to a beautiful baby girl , who my then boyfriend but now husband and I named LayLani Leia Mitchell. Unfortunately we lost her 18 days later. In that moment I was enraged having lost a child and not being a part of the motherhood the way I only fathomed fit, a child in the presence, and not in spirit. Four years later, my husband and I were blessed with another pregnancy , a rainbow baby who we named Sybastene, and a daughter, who was also a rainbow baby, in 2021, we named Syvanah.
My mom's consistent selflessness with her five children and all people she comes in contact with, and not taking time for herself inspired the aspirations that Mommy is... My mother who I still call mommy, at my big age, influenced the birth of Mommy is... I was encouraged by watching her selflessness to provide mommies with a chance to take care of themselves and step outside of their many roles as moms, single or married, while also gaining more clarity, peace, balance, and conscious selfishness, as women as well.
At Mommy is..., the belief is motherhood should be nurtured, not rushed. and connect with others who truly understand their journey. I believe moms deserve more than survival mode. We deserve connection, wellness, and creative expression. Through memberships, experiences, and soulful offerings, Mommy is... is here to create spaces for mothers to flourish—whether it’s through community gatherings, wellness practices, or simply giving permission to rest. Whether you’re joining a membership, attending an event, or simply exploring, you’re part of a community that sees, values, and supports you.
