Why We R.E.A.D.

Mommy is… began with a simple truth:
Too many mothers and caregivers are expected to pour endlessly without being filled.

Take a moment for yourself and R.E.A.D. (Respect. Engage. Acquire. Develop.)

We wanted to create a community where rest is respected, joy is encouraged, and growth doesn’t require burnout.

This is not a space to fix you.
It’s a space to walk with you.

R-

Respect yourself gently

Respecting yourself gently means releasing the belief that you must push through exhaustion, silence your needs, or prove your worth through productivity.

Here, respect looks like:

  • Honoring your boundaries without apology

  • Allowing your capacity to change

  • Speaking to yourself with compassion

Gentleness is not weakness. It is wisdom.

E-

Engage in moments that fill your cup

Engaging in what fills your cup is about reconnecting with joy—not as a reward, but as nourishment.

In Mommy is…, we believe:

  • Pleasure is part of care

  • Joy is a form of resistance

  • You are allowed to receive

Your cup matters because you matter.

A-

Acquire rest without guilt

Rest does not need to be earned.
It does not require exhaustion as proof.

To acquire rest without guilt is to:

  • Release the pressure to always be “on”

  • Let go of productivity as your measure of worth

  • Trust that rest supports everyone you care for

Rest is an act of care—for you and your community.

D-

Develop the version of you that feels real

Development here isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about remembering who you are beneath the noise.

Wholeness looks like:

  • Growth that aligns with your values

  • Healing that doesn’t rush

  • Becoming without abandoning yourself

You don’t need to arrive finished to belong here.
